Some of the holy men and tribal leaders from the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) were sent from Village of Peace (Jerusalem). “Who are you?” they asked.
“Gift of Goodwill (John) performed a purification ceremony for the ones who turned to Creator’s right ways of thinking and doing,” Small Man (Paul) said to them. “In this way they would be ready to put their trust in Creator Sets Free (Jesus), the one he was preparing the way for.”
When the work of He Shows Goodwill (John) was coming to an end, he said many times, ‘Do you think I am the Chosen One? I am not. I am not worthy to untie the moccasins of the one who is coming after I am done.’
The strict traditional Tribal Members saw the healed man carrying his bundle. “It is the Day of Resting,” they said to him. “Tribal law forbids you to carry your sleeping bundle.”
His words caused a great division among the Tribal Members, and they began to argue with one another. “How can this be?” they asked. “Will he give us his flesh to eat?”
Because of this, the tribal leaders were giving Creator Sets Free (Jesus) trouble and wanted to put him to death, because he was doing this on the Day of Resting.
This made them want to kill him all the more, for he not only showed no regard for the Day of Resting, but he also was making himself out to be equal with the Great Spirit—calling him his own Father.
Creator Sets Free (Jesus) left the Land of Promise (Judea) because the Tribal Members there wanted to put him to death. To avoid conflict with them, he had been staying in the territory of Circle of Nations (Galilee), going from village to village.
Many were looking for Creator Sets Free (Jesus) at the festival. The people who had gathered there were whispering and wondering about him. “Where is he?” they asked.
The tribal leaders were amazed at his teaching. “Where did he get this wisdom and understanding?” they asked. “He has not studied under our wisdomkeepers or attended our learning houses.”
“Now we are sure you have an evil spirit,” they said. “Father of Many Nations (Abraham) and all the prophets crossed over to death. How can you say that the ones who walk in your word will not taste of death?
Many of the local Tribal Members had gathered, along with the women, to give comfort to Head Woman (Martha) and Healing Tears (Mary) for the loss of their brother.
