Take off that worn-out and stained outfit of your past life with its selfish desires and worthless ways of thinking. It no longer represents who you are.


It is what comes out from the mouth, from deep inside, that makes people impure.


Speak courage to each other every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that no one’s heart will grow hard and be led astray by broken ways.


Does that mean this good law brought death to me? No! It was my broken ways that did it, by using the law to stir up temptation in me, so I could see how bad my broken ways truly were.


But I tell you this, any man who looks at a woman and wants his way with her has already done so in his heart. “This is not how the Great Spirit wants us to see our sisters.


But it was my broken ways of thinking that tricked me and turned the law’s instructions into a temptation that ended up bringing death to me.


It is things such as these that make you impure, not failing to wash your hands when you eat.”


Creator Sets Free (Jesus) followed the guidance of the Spirit, who took him into the desert wilderness to be tested by Accuser (Satan), the evil trickster snake. In the story of creation, the first man and woman lived in a Garden of Beauty and Harmony. A sly and crafty snake came to them and twisted the words of the Great Spirit to deceive them. They listened to the snake, lost the life of beauty and harmony, and fell under the curse of death. This snake, who opposes Creator’s good road, is the evil spirit who rules over all evil spirits.


When tempted, no one should say, “Creator is tempting me.” For the Great Spirit cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.


When an evil desire takes root in our hearts, it gives birth to broken ways. When these broken ways have taken over, they drag us down a path that leads to death.
