Our bodies are like tipis that we live in here on earth. If our tipi wears out and is taken down in death, we know for sure that the Great Spirit has a better lodge for us in the spirit-world above. That lodge is not made with human hands and will never grow old or wear out.


This is what I am saying: the Chosen One came as a servant to our Tribal People, to show that the Great Spirit has kept the promises he made to our ancestors.


There he waited, for he was looking for a village that would remain—one built on solid ground. A village whose maker and builder is the Great Spirit.


Since we have such a great chief holy man, who is headman of Creator’s family lodge,


In the Chosen One, you received a spiritual cutting of the flesh ceremony done without human hands. The Chosen One did this for you, by the cutting off of your weak human ways.


As he ate, he said this to them, “When I was with you before, I told you that all the words of Drawn from the Water (Moses), the Prophets, and the Sacred Book of Songs (Psalms) must find their full meaning in me.”


Under the first peace treaty, there were instructions for ceremonies and a sacred lodge tent that is of this world.


Under our tribal law holy men keep performing the same ceremonies day after day and making the same sacrifices over and over again. Those sacrifices can never take away bad hearts and broken ways.


I heard a voice coming from the seat of honor. “Behold,” the voice said, “the Great Spirit has pitched his sacred tent among human beings. They will be his people, and Creator himself will make his home among them and will be their Great Spirit.
