For this good message has been told to us, just as it was told to our tribal ancestors. But the message they heard did them no good, because they failed to put their trust in the one who gave them the promise.

This is why we never stop giving thanks to the Great Spirit for the manner in which you welcomed his message. You received it for what it truly is, the word of Creator and not the word of human beings. His word is now at work in you who trust in its message.


For no one can make Creator’s heart glad without trusting him. So then, those who draw near to the Great Spirit must believe that he is and that he honors all who truly seek him.


So then, my sacred family members, make sure none of you have wandering hearts that fail to trust, hearts that turn you away from our living Creator.


Physical discipline is good for the life we now live, but spiritual discipline is good in every way, since it holds promise not only for this life but also for the life of the world to come.


The cutting of the flesh ceremony has honor if you follow the instructions of our tribal law. But if you fail to follow the law, your cutting of the flesh ceremony is worthless.


“It was of great importance,” they said with strong hearts, “that we would bring Creator’s message first to you who are our Tribal Members. But now that you have shown no respect for this message and decided that you are not worthy of the life of the world to come, we will turn to the people from the Outside Nations.


So scrape off all the mud of your evil ways and humbly receive the message that the Great Spirit has planted deep within you. This will set your heart free and make your mind whole.


This shows us that there are still some who will enter his rest. Since those who first heard this good message did not enter because they failed to trust,


I may give all my possessions to the poor and give my body to be burned as a sacrifice, but if I fail to love, I have gained no honor.


The Spirit made it known to them that the things they searched out were for you and not for themselves. You have now learned these things from those who told you the good story by the Holy Spirit, who was sent down from the spirit-world above. Even the spirit-messengers long to see and understand more about these things.


For when we told you the good story, it was not with words only but with the power and assurance that comes from the Holy Spirit. For you know that we lived and walked among you in a good way.


It was foretold long ago in our Sacred Teachings that it would be through trusting in him that Creator would give good standing to all the Outside Nations. The good story was told to Father of Many Nations (Abraham) when Creator said to him, “It is through you that I will bless all nations.”


As you know, I was sick and weak in my body when I first told you the good story.


“That day has come! The Great Spirit has raised up his servant, Creator Sets Free (Jesus), and sent him first to the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) to bless you and turn you back from your worthless, evil ways.”


But, you might also ask, “What if some of them failed to honor this trust? Will their failure stop the Great Spirit from keeping his promises?”


I have one chief question to ask you: Did the Holy Spirit come to you because you worked hard to keep our tribal law, or because you heard and trusted in the good story we told you?
