Hebrews 1:9First Nations VersionYou love right ways and hate wrong ways. So the Great Spirit, your Creator, has chosen you to be a Chief, by pouring the oil of joy on you, honoring you more than all who walk the road with you.” See the chapter |
All blessings belong to the Great Spirit, the Father of our Honored Chief, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One! In his great mercy, when he raised Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One from the dead, we were given new birth, and our hope came to life. We now share with the Chosen One all the blessings he has received.
“You must let me go,” he said back to her. “I have not yet gone up to the Father. Go to my brothers who walked the road with me and say to them, ‘I am going up to my Father and your Father, to the one who is the Great Spirit and Father of us all.’” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) had chosen to show himself first to a woman, Strong Tears (Mary) from Creator’s High Lodge (Magdala), the one he had set free from seven evil spirits.
“The truth of this is plain to see, for right here in the Village of Peace (Jerusalem) they gathered together and took their stand against your Holy Servant, Creator Sets Free (Jesus). Chief Looks Brave (Herod) and Spear of the Great Waters (Pontius Pilate) together with the People of Iron (Romans) and the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel)
But we can see that there is one human being who has taken on himself this sacred calling—Creator Sets Free (Jesus). For a short time he was made a little lower than the spirit-messengers so that by the gift of Creator’s great kindness, he might taste death for everyone. Because he did this, he has been highly honored with the headdress of a chief.
