We should not put our Honored Chief to the test, as some of our ancestors did, and were killed by poisonous snakes.


From these Sacred Teachings we can see that we Tribal Members have not followed our own tribal laws. Our Sacred Teachings have spoken against us, giving us nothing to say in our own defense, and proving that we, along with all the people of the world, stand guilty. And we must give an answer to the Great Spirit for what we have done.


So why put Creator to the test by putting a burden on their shoulders that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to carry?


He sent for the man and said to him, ‘Why am I hearing these things about you? Give me an account of all I possess, for I can no longer trust you to oversee my belongings.’


“Yes,” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) said back to him, “but they also say, ‘Do not test the Great Spirit.’”


Just as it is written down in the Sacred Teachings, “How beautiful are the feet of the good story bringers, who tell about the good things Creator has done for us through the Chosen One!”


Some of the young men wrapped his body in a blanket, carried him out, and buried him.
