So the council warned and threatened them again, but released them and let them go on their way. The council dared not do anything to punish them, because the people were giving thanks to Creator for this powerful sign.

The head lodge soldier, along with his soldiers, went to arrest the message bearers again, but not by force, for they were afraid the people might throw stones at them.


The head holy men and the scroll keepers were looking for a way to capture Creator Sets Free (Jesus) and have him put to death, for they feared his influence over the people.


When the head holy men and the scroll keepers realized that this story was about them, they looked for a way to arrest him, but they could not, for they were afraid of what the people might do.


If we say it is from human beings, the people would stone us to death, for they think Gift of Goodwill (John) is a great prophet.”


They wanted to arrest Creator Sets Free (Jesus) but feared the people, since they considered him a prophet.


Then great respect and awe filled the hearts of all who were there. They gave honor to the Great Spirit for giving such authority to human beings.


They brought the message bearers back in, beat them with a whip, and instructed them to speak no longer in the name of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) or represent his teachings.


But to keep this from spreading to more people, we must warn them to no longer represent Creator Sets Free (Jesus) or to speak to anyone in his name.”


The enemies of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) were put to shame by his words, but the hearts of the people jumped for joy because of the wonderful things he was doing.


Great respect and awe filled the hearts of all who were in the house. They gave honor to Creator, saying, “Today we have seen how mysterious the ways of the Great Spirit can be.”


“We should not do this during the festival,” they said, “or there could be an uprising among the people.”


When they saw the healings, the crowds were filled with wonder and amazement and gave honor and thanks to the Great Spirit of the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel). Creator Sets Free (Jesus) spent the next three days healing the sick and injured. People came from the Ten Villages (Decapolis) and surrounding area, where many people from Outside Nations lived. The number of people had grown to over four thousand.


When the spirit was forced out of him, the man began to speak. All the people were amazed and said, “In all the history of the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) no one has ever seen this kind of powerful medicine.”


For the man who had been healed was over forty winters old.


The people respected them greatly, but many did not dare to join in with them.
