He went to the head holy men and the lodge guards and told them of his plan to turn against Creator Sets Free (Jesus).


This turned them against Many Feathers (Stephen), so they took hold of him and brought him before the Grand Council.


The head lodge soldier, along with his soldiers, went to arrest the message bearers again, but not by force, for they were afraid the people might throw stones at them.


The head lodge soldier and the head holy men could not believe their ears! While they were wondering about this,


When he saw the Separated Ones (Pharisees) and Upright Ones (Sadducees) in the crowd watching, he cried out to them, “You nest of poisonous snakes! Who warned you to run and hide from the coming storm?


Both Walks Humbly (Annas) the chief holy man and Hollow in the Rock (Caiaphas) sat in the council along with He Shows Goodwill (John), Man Fighter (Alexander), and other members of the family of the chief holy man.


The betrayer came into the garden, and with him came a band of lodge soldiers sent from the scroll keepers, head holy men, and Separated Ones (Pharisees), representing the elders of the Grand Council. The air was filled with the smell of burning torches as they entered the garden carrying clubs and long knives.


Remember, I told you a servant is not greater than the one he serves. If I was hunted down, it will be the same for you. If they walk in my message, they will walk in yours.


The head holy men, the scroll keepers, and the elders all joined in.


But the head holy men and the elders talked the crowd into asking for Son of His Father (Barabbas) to be released and to have Creator Sets Free (Jesus) put to death.


They sent their followers along with some of the Friends of Looks Brave (Herodians) to spy on him. “Wisdomkeeper,” they said to him, “we know you always speak the truth about the Great Spirit and represent him well. You show respect to human beings and treat them all the same.


They finally understood he was talking about the teachings of the Separated Ones (Pharisees) and the Upright Ones (Sadducees), not about yeast in frybread. They journeyed on and came into the territory of Ruler of the Horsemen (Caesarea Philippi). This territory was ruled by Chief Looks Brave (Herod) under the authority of the Ruler of the People of Iron (Caesar). There was a cave and a deep, bottomless pit there that was called by the local people “The Gate of the Dark Underworld of Death (Hades).” This was a place of bad medicine and lying spirits.


Creator’s message was told far and wide. In Village of Peace (Jerusalem) the number of followers continued to grow, and many holy men believed and began to walk in this new way.


One day that week when Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was telling the good story at the sacred lodge, the head holy men and the scroll keepers came to him, along with the elders.


When the chief holy man and other spiritual leaders of the Upright Ones (Sadducees) heard what was happening, the fire of jealousy burned in their bellies.
