The man felt strength returning to his legs and feet and pushed himself up on his own feet and began to walk! He danced through the Beautiful Gate and went into the lodge, walking and leaping and giving praise to the Great Spirit.

“Stand up on your feet!” he said with a loud voice. The man jumped to his feet and began walking.


“When this happens, let your hearts be glad and jump for joy! The spirit-world above will honor you, for this is the same way your ancestors treated the prophets of their day. You are walking in their moccasins now!” Here is what he said to the privileged among the people:


Later on, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) saw the man in the sacred lodge. “Look! You are healed,” he said to him. “Now that you have been set free, do not use your freedom to walk a path that leads to broken ways, or something worse may come to you.”


As soon as he said this, the man could see! The people laughed with joy as the man blinked his eyes and looked into their faces. Right then the man began to walk the road with Creator Sets Free (Jesus), giving honor to the Great Spirit. And all the people who saw this also sang songs to thank the Great Spirit.


Then the man with the evil spirit jumped on them and so overpowered them that they ran from the house naked, bruised, and bleeding.
