For many days the storm continued to rage, the sun did not shine, nor could the stars be seen at night. All hope of being rescued was gone.

“Then, right after that time of trouble and sorrow, ‘the sun will no longer shine, the moon will go dark, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the spirit-world above will tremble.’


Now, my sacred family members, we want you to understand what will happen to those who have walked on so that you will not be filled with sorrow like the others who have no hope.


You Outside Nations did not share in the promises or the peace treaty that the Great Spirit made with those tribes. You were out from under their special care and protection—unaware of and apart from the Chosen One. You shared no common hope and were outside the help Creator gave to them in this world.


I was beaten with clubs three times. Once I was almost killed when they threw stones at me. I was shipwrecked three times, and I drifted on the deep waters of the sea for a night and a day.


Then, on the third day, with their bare hands they threw the benches and whatever else they could find into the water.


After they had gone for many days without food, Small Man (Paul) stood up among them. “Fellow travelers,” he said to them, “if you would have listened to me and not set out from Flesh Eater Island (Crete), you would not have suffered this injury and loss.
