Acts 23:6First Nations VersionSmall Man (Paul), knowing that both the Upright Ones (Sadducees) and the Separated Ones (Pharisees) sat on the Grand Council, said to them, “My fellow Tribal Members, I am a Separated One (Pharisee). It is because of my hope that the dead will rise to life again that I am on trial here today.” See the chapter |
When I was eight days old, the cutting of the flesh ceremony was done for me. I was born a member of the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel). I am of the tribe of Son of My Right Hand (Benjamin). I am a full-blood Tribal Member (Hebrew). As for our tribal law, I was of the Separated Ones (Pharisees).
Our chief holy man and the whole council of elders are witnesses to the truth of what I say. I asked for and received written authority to give to the local Tribal Council in Silent Weaver (Damascus), with instructions to capture any followers of the Way and take them to Village of Peace (Jerusalem) to be punished.
“I am a fellow Tribal Man, born in Tree Village (Tarsus) in the territory of Turns Over (Cilicia), but I was raised in Village of Peace (Jerusalem) and was taught at the feet of Creator Has Honored (Gamaliel). I learned to closely follow all of our traditional tribal laws, and a fire for the Great Spirit burned in my belly, just as it does in yours today.
This hope is like a tent-stake, holding our lives firmly and safely in place. This hope goes behind the blanket that hangs in the sacred lodge and reaches into the Most Holy Place in the spirit-world above. Creator’s sacred lodge on earth had a blanket that separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. This earthly lodge was a symbol of the true sacred lodge in the spirit-world above spoken of here.
