This is the reason I now represent the Great Spirit as a captive in chains. Pray that I will speak with boldness and not hold back.


He took the sash from Small Man’s (Paul’s) waist and tied it around his own feet and hands. “This is what the Holy Spirit is saying,” he prophesied. “‘The tribal leaders in Village of Peace (Jerusalem) will do the same to the owner of this sash. They will tie him up and turn him over to the People of Iron (Romans).’”


I only know the Holy Spirit has made it clear to me that in every village I will be hunted down and taken captive.


On the night before Looks Brave (Herod) was planning to bring him before the people, Stands on the Rock (Peter) was sound asleep between two soldiers who were guarding him. He was bound with two chains, and more guards were guarding the prison gate.


“It is for this very reason that I have asked to see and speak with you, for I wear these chains because I have the same hope held by all the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel).” Small Man (Paul) then stopped speaking, looked calmly into their faces, and waited for them to reply.


Right away the soldiers who were about to question him backed away. Fear came upon the head officer as he realized that he had bound a citizen of Village of Iron (Rome) in chains.


It has taken me down a troubled path, one that includes being put in chains as an outlaw. But Creator’s message can never be locked up.


May our Honored Chief show kindness to the family of Bringer of Good Things (Onesiphorus), for he was like a drink of cool water to me and was never ashamed to visit me in prison.


“I pray to the Great Spirit that, whether in a short time or long, all who hear me today would become as I am—except for these chains.”


I informed them that the laws of the People of Iron (Romans) would not permit me to hand over anyone until they could stand face to face with their accusers and make a defense for themselves.


But the head officer wanted to know what Small Man (Paul) was being accused of by the Tribal Members, so, before releasing him, he instructed the head holy men and the Grand Council to meet. He then brought in Small Man (Paul) and stood him before them.


It is right for me to think of you in this way, for you hold a warm place in my heart. You have shared with me in the gift of Creator’s great kindness, both in my chains and when I stand on the truth of the good story.
