But you can be sure that the day of our Honored Chief will come. It will come without warning, like a thief. Then with a loud sound like rushing wind, the skies above will come to an end. The elemental things will melt away in the fierce heat. And the earth and the things done on it will be laid bare.


“Then, right after that time of trouble and sorrow, ‘the sun will no longer shine, the moon will go dark, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the spirit-world above will tremble.’


For you know very well that the day of our Honored Chief will come without warning like a thief in the night.


By the same word, the skies above and the earth below that now exist will be brought to an end by fire. They will remain until the great day of deciding arrives, which will bring an end to those who walk in evil ways.


“There will also be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, and on the earth the nations will tremble with fear. Panic and confusion will grow strong when they hear the sea roar and see the waves swell.


“Then, right after that time of trouble and sorrow, ‘the sun will no longer shine, the moon will go dark,


Then the fourth spirit-messenger poured out his smudge bowl on the sun, which was permitted to scorch people with fire.


When the Lamb broke open the sixth seal, I looked, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as a black cloth, the full moon became blood red,


hand this man over to Accuser (Satan) so that his broken human ways may die and his spirit may be set free and made whole in the day of our Honored Chief.


At the sixth hour of the day clouds moved in and covered the land with darkness until the ninth hour.


There will be powerful signs and omens in the spirit-world above and on the earth below—blood and fire with clouds of smoke.


Then the ones who cry out to the Great Spirit will be made whole and set free.”’”
