Right away the spirit left her. When her owners saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they took hold of Small Man (Paul) and Woods Man (Silas) and dragged them to the village rulers at the trading post.

The village was in an uproar! A group of people came together, took hold of Small Man (Paul), dragged him outside the lodge, closed the gates behind him, and tried to kill him.


Not finding them there, they took hold of Healer (Jason) and some of the other sacred family members and dragged them before the village council. “The ones who have turned the world upside down,” they shouted, “have also come here!


We have been beaten, thrown in prison, and faced uprisings. We have worked hard, spent nights with no sleep, and have gone hungry for days.


As we were on our way to where we gathered for prayer, a slave-girl who had an evil snake spirit met us. She brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling.


But Man Who Questions (Saul) was bringing great harm to the sacred family. Going from house to house, he dragged both men and women away to put them in prison.


These are men who have risked their lives representing our Honored Chief Creator Sets Free (Jesus), the Chosen One.


But some Tribal Members from Stands Against (Antioch) and Spirit Village (Iconium) came and caused people to listen to their lies and turned them against Small Man (Paul). They threw stones at him and dragged him outside the village, thinking he was dead.


But when the message bearers heard that some of the Tribal Members and Outsiders, along with their rulers, were planning to harm them and even stone them to death, they fled for safety. They went to the villages of She Wolf (Lycaonia), Set Free (Lystra), Hide Tanner (Derbe), and their surrounding territories.


I will show him how much he must suffer in order to represent who I am.”


“You must stay ready and alert! Your own people will turn you over to the local tribal councils and beat you in their gathering houses. Because you are representing me, you will be brought before the governors and rulers of the People of Iron (Romans). You will then tell them about Creator’s good road,


“Because you represent me, you will be looked down on by all the nations. They will hunt you down and kill you, all because you follow me.


Why would you show no respect for the poor? Is it not the rich who drag you down and bring you before their own corrupt councils?


Then the message bearers, the elders, and all of the sacred family agreed that it was a good thing to choose some men, along with Small Man (Paul) and Son of Comfort (Barnabas), to take a message to Stands Against (Antioch). They chose Speaks Well Of (Judas) who is also called Son of Resting (Barsabbas) and Woods Man (Silas), spiritual leaders among the sacred family.


For the love of possessions is the root of many evil, thorny branches. Some, who have made possessions their aim in life, have walked away from the good road and have been pierced by thorns that bring them much pain and sorrow.


but Small Man (Paul) chose Woods Man (Silas). So they were given Creator’s blessing by the sacred family and set out,


They brought them before the village council and said, “These men are from the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel). They are bringing trouble to our village


In the middle of the night Small Man (Paul) and Woods Man (Silas) were sending up prayers and singing sacred songs to the Great Spirit. The other prisoners were listening,


The headman of the prison asked for a torch, and, trembling with fear, he rushed inside and fell down before Small Man (Paul) and Woods Man (Silas).


For you are now struggling in the same spiritual battle you saw me fight in the past, one I am still fighting.


For you already know about the mistreatment and insults we faced at Village of Horses (Philippi). But in the midst of such hostility Creator gave us the boldness to tell you his good story.
