But when some followers gathered around him, he got up and returned to the village. The next day he and Son of Comfort (Barnabas) left to go to the village of Hide Tanner (Derbe).

We are strangers to some but well known to others. We look as if we are dying, but look again—we live! We have been whipped and mistreated, but death has not found us.


After the uprising had calmed down, Small Man (Paul) gathered the local sacred family members together to strengthen their hearts and say his farewell to them. He then left for Land of Tall People (Macedonia).


So after they left the prison, they went to the home of Bitter Fruit (Lydia). There they encouraged the sacred family, and then left to continue their journey.


Small Man (Paul) also went to the village of Hide Tanner (Derbe) and then to Set Free (Lystra). In that village was a follower named He Gives Honor (Timothy). His mother was a Tribal Woman who trusted in Creator Sets Free (Jesus), and his father was from an Outside Nation.


And they remained there with the sacred family for a long time.


Stands on the Rock (Peter) motioned to them with his hand to be silent. He then told them how Creator had rescued him from the prison. “Tell He Leads the Way (James) and the others what has happened,” he said to them. He then left to go to another place.


When he found him, he took him back to Stands Against (Antioch). For a whole year they gathered there, together with the sacred family. There they taught a large number of people. It was in the village of Stands Against (Antioch) that the followers of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) were first called Followers of the Chosen One.


On the way they strengthened the hearts of the new followers, telling them to stand tall as they walked this path of trusting. “Following Creator’s good road to the end,” they counseled them, “is a difficult path with many hardships.”


So the followers who lived in Stands Against (Antioch) decided to send help to the sacred family in the Land of Promise (Judea)—as much as they could spare.
