He then took it down from the cross and ceremonially wrapped his body with soft cloths. Then he laid the body in a newly carved burial cave that had never been used.


He then tasted the bitter wine, turned his head to the sky and cried out loud, “It is done!” He then lowered his head to his chest and, with his last breath, gave up his spirit. Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was dead.


Creator Sets Free (Jesus), knowing he had done all the ancient Sacred Teachings had foretold, said, “I thirst.”

Creator knew, before it happened, that the tribes would use the power of the People of Iron (Romans) to have him violently killed by nailing him to a tree-pole—the cross. But the Maker of Life let you have your way with him, because he had made a plan, long ago, to bring him back to life. Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was released from the painful grip of death, for even death itself could not hold him captive.


The sun would soon set, ending the Day of Preparation, and marking the beginning of the Day of Resting.


A man named He Gets More (Joseph) sat on the Grand Council of elders but had not agreed with the decision to put Creator Sets Free (Jesus) to death. He was a good-hearted and upright man from the tribal village of High Mountain (Arimathea), one who looked for Creator’s good road.


Up to this day, with the help of the Great Spirit, I have told the truth to both small and great. I have said only what was foretold by the ancient prophets and by Drawn from the Water (Moses).
