Acts 12:17First Nations VersionStands on the Rock (Peter) motioned to them with his hand to be silent. He then told them how Creator had rescued him from the prison. “Tell He Leads the Way (James) and the others what has happened,” he said to them. He then left to go to another place. From Village of Peace (Jerusalem) He Leads the Way (James) sent some men to Stands Against (Antioch). Before they came, Stands on the Rock (Cephas-Peter) would sit and eat withthe sacred family members from the Outside Nations. But after those men came, he separated himself from the sacred family members from the Outside Nations, for he was afraid of what these Tribal Members might think of him. Stands on the Rock (Cephas-Peter) was not remaining true to what the Great Spirit had shown him in a sacred vision.
So when He Leads the Way (James), Stands on the Rock (Cephas-Peter), and He Shows Goodwill (John), who seemed to be the spiritual leaders, came to understand that I had been given this sacred task, they joined hands in agreement with me and Son of Comfort (Barnabas). They agreed that we would go to the Outside Nations and they to our tribal nation.
This group had grown into one big family, about a hundred and twenty of them, who all trusted in Creator Sets Free (Jesus), that he was the Chosen One. There were now only eleven message bearers. Speaks Well Of (Judas), the one who betrayed Creator Sets Free (Jesus), was no longer among them. Since Creator Sets Free (Jesus) chose twelve message bearers to represent the twelve tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel), someone had to be chosen to replace him. So during this time Stands on the Rock (Peter) stood up to speak.
The sacred family members who lived there, when they heard we were coming, came to greet us from as far away as the Great Trading Post (Appius Market) and the Three Lodging Houses along the Great Trail (Appian Way). When Small Man (Paul) saw them, he gave thanks to the Great Spirit, and his heart was strengthened.
