They had passed by the first guard, then the second, when they came to the iron gate that leads into the village. The gate opened by itself, they walked down a village path, and right then the messenger left him. He rubbed his eyes and looked around and finally realized that he was not in a vision. This was really happening!

But a spirit-messenger from Creator came in the night and set them free.


when suddenly the earth began to shake violently, and the stones holding the prison up began to tremble. Right then the prison doors were opened, and everyone’s iron bindings fell off.


It was now late in the same day, the first day of the week. His followers were all hiding behind locked doors in fear of being captured by the tribal leaders. Suddenly, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) himself was standing in front of them and said, “Peace be with you!”


“Write this to the messenger of the sacred family that gathers in the village of Family of Friends (Philadelphia): These are the words of the holy and true One, the one who has the rightful power of Much Loved One (David). When he opens the way, no one can close it, and when he closes the way, no one else can open it. This is what the holy and true One has to say:


After capturing him, he put him in prison and assigned sixteen soldiers to guard him—four at a time. Looks Brave (Herod) planned to bring him before the people during the Passover festival.


Eight days later his followers were gathered together again, and Looks Like His Brother (Thomas) was with them. The doors were all locked, but Creator Sets Free (Jesus) came in and stood before them all. “Peace be with you,” he said.
