Once, during a meal with his followers, he said to them, “Wait here in the Sacred Village of Peace (Jerusalem), for the gift from my Father that I already told you about—the Holy Spirit.

But first you must wait in Village of Peace (Jerusalem) until I send to you the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. He will dress you in my regalia, with power coming down from the spirit-world above.”


I will ask the Father to send one who will always walk beside you and guide you on the good road.


“I am sending you the Spirit of Truth, the one who is coming from the Father. He will walk close by your side, representing me, and telling the truth about me.


He has now returned to his seat of honor at the right hand of the Great Spirit. The Father above has gifted him with the Holy Spirit whom he promised to send. This Spirit has now been poured out upon us like the rain. This is the meaning of what you now see and hear.


He was saying this about the Spirit, who would soon be given to the ones who believed in him. The Spirit had not yet been poured out, for Creator Sets Free (Jesus) had not yet risen to his place of honor, power, and beauty.


He blew his breath on them and said, “You will breathe in and receive the Holy Spirit. With his wisdom and guidance,


When that time comes, the Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak.”


If even fathers with bad hearts will give good gifts to their children, how much more will the Creator, who is your Father from the spirit-world above, give the Holy Spirit to all who ask!”


not to everyone, but to us, the ones he chose ahead of time to tell the truth about what we saw, we who ate and drank with him after he returned to life from the dead.


When that time comes, you will be given the words to say. For it is not you who will speak, but the Spirit of your Father will speak through you.
