For there are some bad-hearted people who have snuck in among you. They twist the gift of Creator’s great kindness into an excuse to give in to uncontrolled selfish pleasures. In doing so, they deny our only Headman and Honored Chief, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One. It was written long ago that people like this would come to a bad end.


They also should not be new followers of Creator Sets Free (Jesus), or they might get a big head and give the evil trickster the right to accuse them.


They were talking about these troublemakers who turn people against each other—beast-like people—who do not have the Spirit.


For the ones who do this are not walking in the ways of our Honored Chief and Chosen One. Instead, they are feeding their own selfish desires, and like tricksters they use smooth words and big talk to fool the hearts of the ones who lack wisdom.


Instruct the ones who have many possessions in this present world not to see themselves as better than others. They must not put their hope in their many possessions, which cannot be depended on, but in the Great Spirit, who, from his great possessions, provides all we need to enjoy life.


But the ones who live only to please themselves are spiritually dead even while they live.


What you say is true. But they were broken off because they did not believe, and you stand only by your faith. So do not get big-headed, but show deep respect.


Did not your ancestors hunt down, torture, and kill the prophets who foretold the coming of the Upright One? You have now become his betrayers and murderers!


Since these things cannot be denied, you should lower your voices and do nothing without thinking clearly first.
