My much-loved friends, I was eagerly preparing to write to you about how we have all been set free and made whole. As I thought about this, I felt that I needed to urge you to wage a spiritual battle for the faith that was once and for all handed down to his holy ones.


As long as we remain here in our earthly tipis, we groan, for we are aching to put on our tipis from the world above.


It made my heart dance for joy when I found some of your children following the way of truth, just as our Father from above has instructed us.


Great Spirit Is Creator (Elijah) was a weak human being, the same as we are. He prayed with much prayer that it would not rain, and for three winters and six moons no rain fell on the land.


This is the reason we, who are followers of the Chosen One, must walk with firm steps, holding true to what we have heard, so we will not wander away from the good road.


We came to life when we heard that you are standing firm trusting in our Honored Chief.


But He Gives Honor (Timothy) has now come back from you and brought the good news that you still walk in love and in our spiritual ways. He told us that you have good thoughts about us and long to see us as much as we long to see you.


For even though my body may be far away, in my spirit I am close to you. I can see you standing strong and walking a straight path with firm steps as you trust in the Chosen One.


From deep in my spirit comes the hope that I will never face the shame of defeat but that I will have the courage, now and always, to bring honor to the Chosen One by the way I live or by the way I die.


I give thanks to the Great Spirit, for he put into the heart of Big Man (Titus) the same care that I have for you.


The reason for my letter was to find out whether you would follow all of my instructions, even the hard ones.


Even now you do not fully know us, and my hope is that you will come to know us for who we truly are. Then on the day of our Honored Chief Creator Sets Free (Jesus), we will take pride in knowing each other.


so that we can strengthen our trust in him and together become firmly rooted in the good story.


So they sent to them Son of Comfort (Barnabas), a good-hearted man who was full of the Holy Spirit and faith. When he saw Creator’s great kindness at work in them, it made his heart glad. He then spoke wise counsel to them, telling them to have brave hearts and to stand strong, looking to our Honored Chief. There were so many new followers there that Son of Comfort (Barnabas) knew he needed more help.

“Creator’s blessing rests on the ones who walk a trail of tears, for he will wipe the tears from their eyes and comfort them.


Why does this make you proud? You should be weeping tears of sadness for this man. For his own good and yours, he should be removed from among you.


The Great Spirit walks with us through times of trouble, giving us courage and well-being so that we can give to others the same comfort he has given to us.


But the Great Spirit, who lifts up the downcast, lifted our hearts by sending Big Man (Titus) to us.


I know that letter I wrote caused you sorrow. At first, this made me wish I had not written it, but since your sorrow was only for a short time, I no longer feel that way.
