2 Corinthians 3:7

First Nations Version

The law of the peace treaty that was given by Drawn from the Water (Moses) became a way of death instead of life. Even so, this law came with so much honor and shining-greatness that the people of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) could not look for long on the face of Drawn from the Water (Moses), even though the brightness was already fading.

Does this mean that our tribal law is against Creator’s promises? It does not! For if laws had the power to give life, then good standing with Creator would have come through our tribal law.

But Creator Sets Free (Jesus) has been given greater honor than Drawn from the Water (Moses), just as the maker of a lodge is given more honor than the lodge itself.

For you have not come, as your ancestors did, to something that can be touched—a mountain blazing with fire and smoke, with clouds of darkness and gloom, and a windstorm. This happened long ago when Drawn from the Water (Moses) was given the tribal law on Mountain of Small Trees (Sinai).
