Teachers like this think they know it all, but they really understand nothing. There is a sickness in the way they think. They argue over the meaning of words, which takes people down a path of envy, fighting, name-calling, and evil mistrust of each other.

Have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they stir up further arguments.


They will be traitors, reckless and arrogant people who love pleasure more than they love the Great Spirit.


They also should not be new followers of Creator Sets Free (Jesus), or they might get a big head and give the evil trickster the right to accuse them.


But these bad-hearted ones speak against things they do not understand. They are like wild beasts who do not think but act only on instinct. These things are taking them to a bad end.


But these people act without thinking. They are like wild animals born to be captured and killed. They speak against things they know nothing about, but they will be captured in their own cages and come to a bad end.


Keep reminding others about these things. Warn them in the sight of the Great Spirit not to fight over the meaning of words, for these are empty arguments that only bring a bad end to those who listen.


These people keep grumbling and complaining, even as they try to satisfy all of their own broken desires. They speak big, boastful words and use flattery to get what they want from others.


With empty boasts and puffed-up words, they prey on people’s weak human desires and lure them back into the wrong ways of those they have just escaped from.


They want to be seen as teachers of our tribal law, but they do not understand the words they speak or the things they so boldly teach.


and to turn away from stories with no meaning and from long ancestral histories. These things only cause arguments and confuse people instead of helping them to trust in the good road of the Great Spirit.


Knowing this, my much-loved family members, we must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.


But stay away from foolish arguments about ancestors, from things that cause division, and from conflicts about our tribal law. Arguments like these are worthless and will not help anyone.


But Small Man (Paul) and Son of Comfort (Barnabas) did not agree with them and had a strong argument with them. It was decided that Small Man (Paul) and Son of Comfort (Barnabas), along with a few others, would go to the message bearers and elders at Village of Peace (Jerusalem) to settle this among them.


The reason for this is that you say, ‘I have acquired great possessions, more than I could ever need.’ But you cannot see that you are to be pitied, for spiritually you are full of misery—poor and blind and naked.


He will speak out against and consider himself to be greater than all the so-called powerful spirit-beings and all that is seen as sacred or holy. He will even set himself up in Creator’s sacred lodge and represent himself as the Great Spirit.


Do not permit anyone to talk you out of what the Chosen One has done for you. That kind of humility is only a mask to fool you into humbling yourselves before wayward spirit-messengers. The visions they claim to have seen are only puffed-up images that come from their own prideful imaginations and weak ways of thinking.


Do everything without grumbling or arguing.


But when you do these things, make sure you do them for the right reasons. Do not let selfish ways take you down a path of bragging or trying to look better than others. Instead, let humility be your guide as you honor others above yourself.


It is true that some tell about the Chosen One only because they are full of jealousy and bitterness, while others do so out of a good heart.


The people who see themselves as something when they are nothing have become their own trickster.


In this way we will not become big-headed troublemakers who are jealous of each other.


If you keep on acting like wild animals, biting and snapping at each other, watch out! You may end up wiping each other out!


You even let others rule over you as if you were their slaves. You put up with them when they devour your goods, trick you, look down on you, and insult you.


First of all, when you have your sacred family gatherings, I have heard that you divide up into opposing groups, and I can see some truth in this.


Anyone who does not agree with me about these things should know that in the Sacred Families of the Great Spirit we follow no other tradition.


Do not trick yourself. All who think they are wise in the ways of this present world need to become foolish, so that they may become wise in Creator’s ways.


As long as there is jealousy and fighting among you, are you not unspiritual and walking like weak and broken human beings?


Welcome into our sacred gatherings those who are weak in their understanding of our spiritual ways. Do not try to prove them wrong about the things they have decided for themselves.


Let the light of this new day guide you onto a path of honor. We must walk away from wild drinking parties, from sexual impurity and improper desires, and from arguing and jealousy.


Seek to live in harmony with all. Do not think you are better than others. Walk the road of life with the humble of heart, and do not be wise in your own eyes.


But the ones who live only for themselves, who refuse to walk the path of truth and stand against the right ways of the Great Spirit, will face a coming storm of great anger.


“but if this is simply a question about words and names and how to interpret your own laws, then you must decide for yourselves. I want nothing to do with deciding these things.”


In that same village there was a man named Man Who Hears (Simon), who had practiced bad medicine and had made himself out to be someone great.
