The elders who are spiritual leaders are to be given double honor—most of all, the ones who work hard at instructing and teaching others.

Follow the guidance of your spiritual leaders and give way to their instructions. For they must give an answer for the guidance they provide. So let them do so with glad hearts and not with sorrow, for that would not be a good thing for you.


The ones who are instructed in the message of the Chosen One should share all good things with their teacher.


Stay with the ones who welcome you. There is no need to move around from house to house. Share their food and drink with them, for the ones who work hard are worth feeding.


Never forget the ones who blazed the trail before you, the ones who were first to tell you the message of Creator’s good story. Think deeply about the manner in which they lived and died, and follow in their way of trusting.


The one who works hard to plant a field should be the first to share in the harvest.


So when he arrives, welcome him in our Honored Chief with glad hearts. Show great respect and honor toward people like him.


If your gift is to speak courage and strengthen the hearts of others, then speak bravely. The one whose gift is giving should not hold back. If your gift is leading, lead with honor. And the one whose gift is showing mercy and kindness to others should do so freely, with a glad heart!


The people honored us with many gifts, and when we were leaving, they loaded our canoe with all that we needed.


As we work side by side with Creator, we are calling out for you to not let the gift of Creator’s great kindness fall to the ground.

For since the Outside Nations have shared in the spiritual blessings of our Tribal People, they are bound by honor to also share their material blessings with them—which they do with glad hearts!


I also ask you, Burden Bearer (Syzygus), to be true to your name and help these women who have shared my struggle in the telling of the good story. These women have also worked side by side with Walks with Kindness (Clement) and all the others whose names are written down in Creator’s book of life.

Keep a close watch on yourself and on what you are teaching. Keep doing all that I have told you. In this way, you will set free and make whole not only yourself but all who listen to you.


For if they cannot guide their own families, how will they take care of Creator’s sacred family?

“You tell me,” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) answered, “who is the wise one, worthy of trust? The uncle who feeds and cares for the family while the elder is away?


Honor and take care of the women whose husbands have walked on, if they truly need help.


If you make these things clear to the members of the sacred family, you will be a good servant of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One. This shows that the trust you have in the message of our spiritual ways and the good teaching you have been following has helped you to grow spiritually strong.


For we are working side by side with the help of the Great Spirit. You are Creator’s garden where he grows good fruit, and you are the sacred lodge where he has chosen to live.


Do not neglect the spiritual gift that is in you. This gift came to you through a word of prophecy that was given when the council of elders laid their hands on you to set you in place as a spiritual leader.


If someone accuses an elder who is a spiritual leader with wrongdoing, do not listen unless two or three others say the same thing.
