Do not let your hearts be weighed down with anything. Instead, with every step you take, send your voice to the Great Spirit, asking him for the things you need. And in all your prayers remember to give him thanks.

The ones who do it only for pay are not true shepherds, for they do not care for the sheep but only for themselves.


Can worry add even one more step to the length of your life’s journey?


“Why do you trouble yourself with what to wear? Have you seen how the wildflowers grow in the plains and meadows? Do you think they work hard and long to clothe themselves?


There is no need to say, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’


If you cannot do such a small thing, why worry about other things?
