If we say that we have no broken ways, we are lying to ourselves, and the truth is not alive in us.

We are all the same because all of us have followed our bad hearts and broken ways,


We all stumble on the path in many ways. But if we could keep our words from hurting others, we would be mature human beings, able to aim our whole lives in the right direction.


The ones who say, “I know the Great Spirit,” yet do not follow his teachings, are lying, and the truth does not live in them.


If we say we have never walked in broken ways, we are calling him a liar, and his words are not at home in us.


The people who see themselves as something when they are nothing have become their own trickster.


All who represent themselves as spiritual but do not keep their tongue under control are only fooling themselves—their spirituality is worthless.


They keep stirring up trouble between people whose minds have wandered away from the truth. They even think that walking in the ways of the Great Spirit is a path to getting more and more possessions.


Do not trick yourself. All who think they are wise in the ways of this present world need to become foolish, so that they may become wise in Creator’s ways.


This love comes from the truth that lives in us and will remain with us to the time beyond the end of all days.


If we say we are in harmony with him yet walk a path of darkness, we are living a lie and not following the truth.


But make sure you do not fool yourselves. You must not only hear this message. You must also walk in its truth.


Bad-hearted people will go from bad to worse. These are humans behaving like tricksters who lead people down the same kind of path they have been tricked into walking.


It made my heart dance for joy when some of the members of the sacred family came and told me of your great respect for the truth—a path you now walk.


In this way, they will suffer for the wrongs they have done. It makes their hearts glad to run wild in the light of day. They are dark spots and stains on your garments, gladly feasting with you while deep inside they laugh about how they have tricked you.


Your father is Accuser (Satan), the evil trickster. You are doing what he wants, for he was the first to take the life of another. He stands outside of the truth, because truth has no home in him. He speaks with a forked tongue and twists his words. His lies show who he truly is. He is a liar and the father of all that is false.


It is written in our Sacred Teachings of our tribal law, “There is no one who stands upright. Not even one!


If we say that we love the Great Spirit but hate others, then we are speaking with a forked tongue. If we do not love someone we can see, then how can we love a Creator we cannot see?
