This is the manner in which husbands should love their wives, as their own bodies. For the one who loves his wife loves himself.


So each man should love his wife as himself, treat her as he wants her to treat him, and each wife is to give respect to her husband.


But if any of you lack self-control, you should get married, for that is better than letting your desires burn like a wildfire.


Run away from these kinds of impure desires. No other broken human ways affect the body in this way. The ones who treat sex in this manner are going against Creator’s purpose for their own bodies.


They stop people from getting married and tell people to stay away from eating certain kinds of foods. These foods were created by the Great Spirit to be received with grateful hearts by those who trust in and know the truth.


Let me tell you why. Anyone who puts away his wife without giving her divorce papers makes her unfaithful when she remarries, unless she was unfaithful already. Then anyone who marries her is having sexual relations with another man’s wife.” In those days men would “put away” their wives without divorcing them, leaving them destitute and unable to properly remarry.


Now I will give an answer to the things you wrote to me about the sacred gift of marriage and sexual relations. I think it would be a good thing not to marry or have sexual relations.


Both husband and wife should honor each other in marriage and fulfill each other’s sexual needs.
