1 Corinthians 2:6First Nations VersionOn the other hand, there is a wisdom that we speak among those who are mature in the Chosen One. It is not the wisdom of this present world or of its rulers, who are fading away. See the chapter |
Walks in Beauty (Epaphras), who is a member of the sacred family of your village, sends his greetings also. He is a true servant of the Chosen One, Creator Sets Free (Jesus). He wrestles for you in his prayers, that you will stand strong and walk Creator’s path with firm steps as you grow into mature human beings.
We may be bragging, but we are bold enough to tell you that our hearts are pure, for we have walked this road of life in a sacred and true manner. We have not followed the ways of this world, but by the gift of Creator’s great kindness we have walked in a good way before the people of this world, and even more toward you. In the same way, our words to you are as straight as an arrow. We do not speak with forked tongues in our letters to you.
“When the rich man found out what the dishonest overseer had done, he shook his head but admired the man’s craftiness. “Do you see what this means?” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) asked. “The children of darkness are sometimes wiser in the ways of this world than the children of light are in the ways of the spirit-world above.
“Only one thing remains,” he answered. “Take all of your possessions and give them to the ones who have none, and then you will have great possessions in the spirit-world above.” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) then gave the man the same invitation that he gave to his message bearers. “Come,” he said to the man, “and walk the road with me.”
It is time for us to move beyond the beginning spiritual truths of the teachings that prepared the way of the Chosen One and start to see things through more mature eyes. There is no need to go back to the beginning of the trail to learn things all over again. You have already been taught to turn away from meaningless efforts to please the Great Spirit and to simply trust him.
