Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.

But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

The insolent utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law.

He said to David, “You are more righteous than I, for you have repaid me good, whereas I have repaid you evil.

I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
