After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.

And the leaders of Shechem put men in ambush against him on the mountaintops, and they robbed all who passed by them along that way. And it was told to Abimelech.

The murderer rises before it is light, that he may kill the poor and needy, and in the night he is like a thief.

Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do no violence to his home;
