And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,

Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless?

He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
