Incline your ear, O Lord, and hear; open your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to mock the living God.

Now, O my God, let your eyes be open and your ears attentive to the prayer of this place.

It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke the words that the Lord your God has heard; therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Arise, O God, defend your cause; remember how the foolish scoff at you all the day!

Return sevenfold into the lap of our neighbors the taunts with which they have taunted you, O Lord!

How long, O God, is the foe to scoff? Is the enemy to revile your name forever?

In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me!

He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne he sets them forever, and they are exalted.

It may be that the Lord will look on the wrong done to me, and that the Lord will repay me with good for his cursing today.”
