Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.

My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell,

I said to my master, ‘Perhaps the woman will not follow me.’
