On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses,
On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.”
When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating some of the old crop; you shall eat the old until the ninth year, when its crop arrives.
For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat the produce of the field.
But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them.
This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.’”
Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted.
