When two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And desiring to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

And when we came into Rome, Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier who guarded him.

so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death.

but when he arrived in Rome he searched for me earnestly and found me—

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.
