Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished directing His twelve disciples, that He moved on from there to teach and to preach in their cities.

Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, that He with from Galilee and went to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

And when the crowds heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, that He said to His disciples,

and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And its fall was great."

for He taught them as one having authority, and not like the scribes.

And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.

And the scribes and chief priests heard it and they sought how they might destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching.

And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many when they heard were astonished, saying, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, and such miracles are coming about by His hands?

and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

And those who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and His answers.

And all were bearing witness to Him, and were marveling at the gracious words which came out of His mouth. And they said, "Is this not Joseph's son?"

And they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.

Now when He finished all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum.

And the Jews were marveling, saying, "How is this Man learned, since He has not been educated?"

The attendants answered them, "No man ever spoke like this Man!"
