And immediately the little girl arose and was walking about, for she was twelve years old. And they were overcome with great amazement.
Then they were all amazed, so that they were disputing among themselves, saying, "What is this? What new doctrine is this, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him?"
And they feared exceedingly, and were saying to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"
And having grasped the hand of the child, He said to her, "Talitha, koumi," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."
But He ordered them strictly that no one should know this, and said that something should be given her to eat.
Then He went up with them into the boat and the wind ceased. And they were greatly astounded among themselves beyond measure, and were marveling.
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
