But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds that they should ask for Barabbas, but they should destroy Jesus.

For he knew that because of envy the chief priests had delivered Him up.

But Pilate answered and said to them again, "What then do you desire that I should do with Him whom you call King of the Jews?"

Then they all cried out again, saying, "Not this Man, but Barabbas!" Now Barabbas was a bandit.

But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
