But they were filled with fury, and they were discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.
But they were reasoning among themselves, saying, "We did not take bread."
Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that He was speaking about them.
So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
And when He had looked around at them all, He said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the night in prayer to God.
Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What are we doing? For this Man works many signs.
And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.
And I punished them often in all the synagogues, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even as far as to foreign cities.
And they commanded them to go away outside the council, and began to confer among themselves,
But Peter and John answered them and said, "Whether it is right before God to hear you rather than God, you judge.
But when they heard this, they were infuriated and were resolving to kill them.
Now hearing these things they were infuriated in their hearts, and were gnashing their teeth against him.
But they shall not advance further, for their folly shall be manifest to all, as also theirs became.
