Now in the early morning, returning to the city, He became hungry.

And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.

And the devil said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread."

Now Jacob's well was there. Therefore Jesus, having become tired from the journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

For in that which He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to help those who are tempted.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but having been tempted in all respects in quite the same way as we are, yet without sin.
