Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.

Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance,

and do not think to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.

When once the Master of the house has risen up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and answering He will say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from.'

Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.'

and he who invited you and him shall come and say to you, 'Give place to this man,' and then you begin with shame to take the last place.

But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out."

And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this Man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins except God alone?"

They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will become free'?"

They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.

but to those first in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, proclaiming that they must repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

Therefore it is of faith that it may be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those of the law, but also to those of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "In Isaac your seed shall be called."

having been filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
