And a certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.

But a certain one of those standing by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

And those around Him, seeing what was about to happen, they said to Him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"

But Jesus answered and said, "Stop right there." And touching his ear, He healed him.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty by God to the pulling down of strongholds,
