Then they brought him to Jesus. And when they threw their own clothes on the colt, they set Jesus on him.

Now all this took place so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

They brought the donkey and the colt, and they laid their clothes on them, and they set Him on them.

And they said, "The Lord has need of him."

And as He went, they were spreading their clothes under Him on the road.

On the next day a large crowd which was coming to the feast, having heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, he sat on it; as it is written:
