So he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my barns and I will build bigger ones, and there I will gather all my crops and my goods.

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they?

And he reasoned within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, because I have nowhere to gather my crops?'

And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid away for many years; relax; eat, drink, and be merry." '

So is he who accumulates treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storeroom nor barn; and God feeds them. How much more are you worth than birds?

And he did not want to for a time; but afterward he said within himself, 'although I do not fear God, nor have regard for man,

Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said.

This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

Come now, you who say, "Today and tomorrow let us travel to this city, and let us spend a year there, and let us trade and make a profit"--

Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."
