"No one, having lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light.

"What I say to you in the dark, say in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.

Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

I have come as a light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me may not abide in darkness.
