But behold, you shall be silent and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which shall be fulfilled in their season."

Afterwards He appeared to the eleven as they were reclining at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been raised.

He answered him and said, "O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me."

And the angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands before God, and I was sent to speak to you and to proclaim the good news to you of these things.

And the people waited for Zacharias, and they marveled at his delaying in the temple.

But having come out, he was unable to speak to them; and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he was making signs to them and remained speechless.

And blessed is she who has believed, because there shall be a fulfillment to the things having been spoken to her from the Lord."

Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he started to speak, praising God.

For what if some did not believe? Surely their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God?

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time itself,

in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us;

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
