Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.
Now it came about as He was going through the grainfields on the Sabbath, that His disciples began to make their way picking the heads of grain.
Now it came to pass, when He came into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they were watching Him closely.
And on account of this the Jews began to persecute Jesus, and were seeking to kill Him, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.
And immediately the man became well, and took up his bed, and began to walk. And that day was the Sabbath.
They brought him who was once blind to the Pharisees.
Having said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay from the saliva; and He applied the clay on the eyes of the blind man.
