For John was not yet cast into prison.
For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.
Now when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He departed into Galilee.
For Herod himself had sent and laid hold of John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife; because he had married her.
Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salem, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized.
