Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where You put Him, and I will take Him away."

Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are seeking Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has arisen! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.

But supposing Him to be in the caravan, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among their relatives and among their acquaintances.

Then, as they became afraid and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

Then Jesus turned and observed them following, and said to them, "What are you seeking?" They said to Him, "Rabbi" (which is translated, Teacher), "where are You staying?"

Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went out and said to them, "Whom do you seek?"

Then He asked them again, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus the Nazarene."

Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him."
