"These things I have spoken to you in figures of speech; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.

And He said to them, "Do you not know this parable? How then will you know all the parables?

And apart from a parable He did not speak to them, however, privately to His disciples, he would explain all things.

He was speaking this word with boldness. And Peter, taking Him aside, began to rebuke Him.

Then the Jews encircled Him and said to Him, "How long will You hold us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly."

This illustration Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

They will excommunicate you; but a time is coming when everyone who kills you will think that he is offering God a service.

Indeed a time is coming, and now has come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and you will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor falsifying the word of God, but by the disclosure of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience before God.
